17 Top Network Marketing Leaders & Influencers… You SHOULD Be Following

Here are the top network marketing leaders and influencers in the industry who you can (and should) be following.

This is a list of the best of the best. Network marketing in a huge industry so if you feel I missed anybody, please leave a comment and let me know.

A word of caution: These network marketing leaders are serious producers. That means they pump out a ton of good, valuable content… do NOT get stuck learning mode.

If you’re choosing learning over taking action… you’re making the wrong choice.

Experience and implementation is where actual learning occurs.

In addition, I’ve also listed a few top influencers in other fields in the 2nd section.

On top of all the incredible free content these influential leaders produce, keep in mind that most also have paid programs if you want to go even faster and shorten the learning curve.

Pick a few that resonate with you and plug into their training… (in addition to learning from us, of course!)

Lastly- This was designed as a helpful resource to share with your team. Other than a few books on Amazon, this page has no affiliate links on it.

I’ve done my best to have all the links open in a separate window, so you can check out what you want without losing your spot or leaving the page.

I also loaded the page with tweetable quotes and turned it all into a sharable infographic, so if that’s your thing… share and tweet away.

Without further ado, here they are….

Network Marketing
Leaders and Influencers (w/quotes)

Jim Rohn
JimRohn.com

Okay, so I can’t talk about leaders and influencers in this space without talking about the Godfather of personal development, Mr. Jim Rohn.

Actually, I’m not sure you can talk about influencers in general without mentioning him.

He lived a life of undeniable impact.
In fact, he impacted those who now do the impacting.
People like Eric Worre and Tony Robbins.
People inside of the network marketing industry and people who are not.

He is probably best known in our industry for his audio “Building you network marketing business“.

If you never heard it, I suggest you get it. You won’t  be disappointed and it’s one of the few things I’ve listened to over and over… many, many times.

It’s just that good.

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. -Jim Rohn Click To Tweet Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him, now you have a motivated idiot. -Jim Rohn Click To Tweet

Eric Worre
NetworkMarketingPro.com

Eric Worre is best known for trying to bring the world up to speed on the fact that network marketing is “a better way”.

It seems to me that one of his main missions in life is to bring the professionalism that is present in other industries to the network marketing industry so the world will take a closer (more serious) look at the business model.

He has a great podcast called Go Pro with Eric Worre. He regularly interviews 7 figure earners who drop a ton of golden nuggets.

I highly recommend the podcast as well as his book by the same name (Go Pro now available on Amazon).

It’s a stone cold fact, we have a better way. Now let’s go tell the world. -Eric Worre Click To Tweet You must accept a temporary loss of social esteem from ignorant people. -Eric Worre Click To Tweet Freedom is possible, but it isn’t free. -Eric Worre Click To Tweet

Ray and Jessica Higdon
RayHigdon.com

When we made the decision to re-enter the network marketing industry… Ray Higdon was the first leader I came in contact with.

He’s a beast when it comes to content creation and if you want to follow him it’s pretty easy.

He has a blog and podcast called Home Business Profits. In addition, he and his wife Jessica just launched a new podcast called meet the Higdons.

I’ve featured pictures of both he and and his wife above because they have both recruited large teams individually and Jessica is a network marketing leader in her own right.

Jessica has a blog and youtube channel with some great content, but I don’t think she’s updating them right now.

I can. I will. End of story. -Ray Higdon Click To Tweet If your path is more difficult, it’s because your calling is higher. -Ray Higdon Click To Tweet Most people don't even show up... if you just show up once a day, you'll be ahead of most people times 1000. -Jessica Higdon Click To Tweet

Simon Chan
MLMNation.com

Simon Chan is one of the top names in multilevel marketing.

The self-proclaimed purpose of MLM Nation is “to have a positive impact on as many lives as possible and to help empower 10,000 distributors achieve a full-time income in their business.

The easiest way to follow Simon is though his website, listening to his podcast, and/or joining his mastermind program.

His company also offers a few great training events each year.

I’m an avid follower of his podcast and have learned a great deal from him over the years.

Simon teaches a specific DMO (daily method of operation) framework (the 3-5-5-5-3 system) to help you stay consistent and also offers an online social media prospecting group you can join for accountability.

To achieve REAL success in our profession is no different than mastering any musical instrument or sport, you have to learn specific skills. -Simon Chan Click To Tweet Vision is hard to teach and a concept hard to understand. But fortunately following a checklist is easy to follow. -Simon Chan Click To Tweet

Brig and Lita Hart

When I first entered this industry I was introduced to Brig Hart by my upline.

Brig shaped my thinking and belief in this industry and truth be told, without his leadership and example I would have left the industry and never returned.

He helped me see how business and faith can be intertwined and doesn’t have to be kept separate.

He and his wife Lita have built huge organizations in multiple companies.

He is the author of the book Why Not You, Why Not Now.

On top of that, he’s been successful in other fields and industries. Most recently, with the launch of the Salt Life clothing and product line.

While he doesn’t put out lots of industry training per se, he’s still a force to be acknowledged and has consistently produced more results inside of the industry than anybody I know.

In fact, it’s been stated that as of right now, he is one of the biggest network marketing earners of all time (1)

Anyone. Anytime. Anywhere. -Brig Hart Click To Tweet I minister through my business because that's what God's called me to do. -Brig Hart Click To Tweet

Jordan Adler
JordanAdler.com

I became familiar with Jordan Adler after hearing him on an interview.

His story is inspiring to me because it is a story of persistence.

Jordan spent the first 10 years of his career jumping from opportunity to opportunity (11 companies in total) and never enrolled a single person.

He has since went on to become a phenomenal leader and build a team of over 200,000 distributors.

We need to focus more on stories like his inside the network marketing industry. It takes time to develop the skills and systems necessary for success.

Success doesn’t happen overnight.

But once everything clicks, it’s the most powerful business model in the world.

He is also the author of Beach Money and Better than Beach Money.

I have quit and I have persisted and the results of persisting have been much better... -Jordan Adler Click To Tweet Your job when sponsoring somebody is to get them started. It's not your job to manage them. -Jordan Adler Click To Tweet

Richard Matharoo
RichardMatharoo.com

Richard Matharoo is one of my favorites because he teaches tips and strategies for building online.

He does have some great traditional prospecting info, but I’m a fan of his online methods. He trudged through 328 traditional (person to person) “no”s until he decided to take the show online.

Now he’s sponsored over 700 people and teaches others to do the same.

I attribute most the online success I’ve had so far to his teachings.

Best way to follow him is to listen to his podcast and subscribe to his YouTube channel.

If you’re really serious about using online methods, I’m just finishing his Home Business Accelerator course and though it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth every cent.

You always get what you pay for and cheapest is rarely best.

If you’re going to people and throwing up unrealistic expectations all over them... telling them it’s free. It’s easy. Anyone can do this. Make money fast... then chances are, people are going to take look at that and think, MLM scam Click To Tweet Start to use online marketing to position your business in front of the people who actually want to see it, that have some level of interest already. -Richard Matharoo Click To Tweet

Chuck Holmes
OnlinemlmCommunity.com

Of all the people on this list, Chuck has personally helped me the most.

He is a strong advocate of using attraction marketing to build your business and has been pumping out high quality content for years on his blog.

One of the unique things about him is how accessible he is. As of this writing, he still has his personal number plastered on his website for anybody who wants to talk.

In fact, the first time I talked to him I just called him out of the blue and he’s been a great mentor ever since.

I can say from personal experience he truly wants to help as many people as possible and I can’t recommend him enough.

In addition, he’s a real success story… not one of those zero to top earner in 3 months stories we always promote.

He struggled for 12 years before finally cracking the code for himself and he’s been a top earner ever since.

Jackie Ulmer
JackieUlmer.com

I learned Jackie Ulmer through a podcast.

Are you noticing a theme here?…  Okay, so I’m a podcast junkie. But that doesn’t change the fact that she puts out some great stuff.

What I like about her products is that they are all reasonably priced. I think her highest priced item right now is only $127.00.

So if you’re looking for some great training without paying an arm and a leg, she’s a good fit for you.

If you want some free training and to get to know here a little, her podcast (and alternative website) is called Street Smart Wealth.

You never know when someone’s life situation changes and what they were totally closed to before becomes perfect for NOW. -Jackie Ulmer Click To Tweet With an online business system, as part of your marketing strategy... you have the ability to be found when someone’s time is RIGHT. -Jackie Ulmer Click To Tweet

Todd Falcone
ToddFalcone.com

Author of the book Fearless Networking (among others), Todd has been in the industry for 25 years.

Guess what!? He does have a podcast called the Fearless Networker but surprisingly… I haven’t heard it (yet).

I will check it out but I’m sure if it’s as high quality as his other content then it’s pretty good.

I came across Todd through his blog and he’s got some really good training and tips there.

You can also connect with him through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn.

Tanya Aliza
TanyaAliza.com

Okay, similar to Ray Higdon, Tanya seems to be everywhere.

I’m not sure if she creates as much content as Ray, but she certainly gets a lot of exposure.

I guess I was easy to rope in because in her story I learned she’s from Canada and she spent some time in Costa Rica.

Well, I’ve been to both those places (heck, I lived in Costa Rica for 3 months) so I had an immediate connection point.

Note: When you take your story online just be authentic. Sometimes people will connect with your message simply because you have things or experiences in common.

Anyway, Tanya is full of energy and much of her training is focused on the social media game, which is where the masses live these days.

The best place to learn from Tanya is her website or simply subscribe to her YouTube Channel (be sure to turn on your notifications).

I’ll be honest, learning the Internet side of marketing your Business is not easy but it was worth it. -Tanya Aliza Click To Tweet It’s easier to learn from someone who’s already been down the road that you’re looking to go down. -Tanya Aliza Click To Tweet

Kim Klaver
KimKlaverBlog.com

I know of Kim Klaver because of her podcast YouUnplugged and that’s probably one of the best ways to follow her ideas and strategies.

Another option is her Facebook page where she shares marketing tips and insights.

She has also produced at a high level in multiple companies, so she knows what she’s doing and she’s fantastic at it.

Based on what I’ve heard from her, she focuses a lot on the marketing part of the business as opposed to calling up your friends and family and trying to get them into your “thing”.

Kim has a no nonsense approach and has a way of calling out the elephant in the room when it comes to how most people approach prospecting and recruiting.

If you’re looking for a fresh approach that doesn’t have the slimy, spammy, and typical network marketing feel to it, she’s a leader that may be a good fit for you.

You cannot control others. And their life might get in the way. Instead of trying to raise the dead, focus on marketing so that you call the 5% by name. -Kim Klaver Click To Tweet Learn to generate NOT leads, but learn to generate DEMAND. For YOU and your edge. -Kim Klaver Click To Tweet

Jason Lee
JasonLeehq.com

I ran across Jason doing some research online.
He’s got a great blog with tons of valuable content.

His content is found under the name Unleashing the Alpha Networker.

To learn from him, I recommend his YouTube Channel and podcast of the same name.

Jason Lee focuses on online marketing strategies.

Some of it is a bit technical, but in this day and age, if you’re not will to learn some technical stuff you could be creating content that will never be seen.

You don't have to do a lot. You just have to find one method that works and then do it over and over and over again. -Jason Lee Click To Tweet I've never met a single person in the industry, top runner or otherwise, that's made any kind of income... with their hands in their pockets. -Jason Lee Click To Tweet

Erik Christian Johnson
ErikChristianJohnson.com

When I landed on Erik’s blog, I knew he was the real deal (because he uses the same wordpress theme as me!).

Seriously though, he is building a brand and building a business. So he shares (from the trenches) what’s working and what’s not.

A master at generating leads, Erik has personally sponsored over 800 people into his opportunity.

If you’re having trouble with recruiting (the basic building block of this industry), then check out his content and see if he resonates with you.

Sarah Robbins
SarahRobbins.com

Speaker, trainer, and high level network marketing leader.

What I really like about Sarah Robbins is her story. She was a teacher and started her network marketing business as a side gig.

And, as a fellow educator, I connected with her story. That’s exactly where we are and where we started.

I also really admire what her and her husband are doing in India.

They’ve built a 100+ kid orphanage, which is really remarkable and a testament to what you can do when money is no longer an issue.

Visit her site for more training and tips or go directly to her store to find training on exactly what you need.

Darin Kidd
SucceedWithDarin.com

Darin’s story resonates with me because he came from rock bottom and clawed his way to the top.

In his own words, he was a college dropout and everything he tried to do he was failing at, nothing was working.

After seven years of trying and failing to become a leader in network marketing, he decided to give it another go.

He says on his site:
“I decided to surround myself with successful people, shut my mouth, listen intently to everything they said, and work my butt off.”

There you have it, the top influencers and leaders in the network marketing industry.

If you’re serious about building your business, you should also consider doing some lateral learning.

Lateral learning is when you learn from people outside your industry and implement their concepts into what you’re doing.

I learn and implement just as much from other industries as I do from the mlm industry.

If you’re interested in taking your game to the next level, here are my favorite influencers from other areas.

My Favorite Online Marketing Leaders

Neil Patel

Some of the most helpful traffic strategies I use come from Neil Patel (podcast).

He is constantly putting out quality content and spending loads of money doing tests to see what works.

My favorite thing about his experiments is that he will take a common belief (such as more backlinks equal higher rankings) and then run a series of experiments to see if it’s true and if it is true, how much of an impact does it really have.

If you’re not following Neil Patel but you’re doing any form of content marketing then you need to check him out.

You can subscribe to his YouTube channel here.

Someday is a dangerous word. -Neil Patel Click To Tweet

Brian Dean
BackLinko

Brian Dean has done a lot with Neil Patel but he’s a fantastic marketer in his own right and sometimes I don’t think he gets the credit he deserves.

My favorite way to follow him is on his YouTube channel, where he drops tons of valuable and actionable info on how to build a YouTube channel.

If you’ve never heard of him, you owe it to yourself to check him out.

SEO isn’t about content creation. It’s about content promotion. -Brian Dean Click To Tweet

Brandon Gaille
The Blog Millionaire

Okay, maybe this should be a top pod-casters instead of top network marketing leaders post because Brandon has a podcast as well.

He was one of the first marketing people I started to follow and his podcast contains step-by-step instruction as well as the why behind it.

He also does a lot of tests and if it wasn’t for his content, my organic traffic would probably be at least half of what it currently is.

You can check out his stuff at the links above.

Russel Brunson
Clickfunnels

Russel Brunson is an entrepreneur driven by impact.

Creator of clickfunnels, which recently surpassed $100 million dollars a year in annual revenue, he has cracked the code on of online marketing.

He’s started learning marketing at a young age by sending off for free information from classified newspaper ads.

The interesting thing about Russel Brunson is that he built a network marketing company in the past and has specific products geared to network marketers.

Many online mlm distributors and marketers use ClickFunnels as their default marketing tool and it’s updated all the time.

Easiest way I’ve found to follow him?… You guessed it- subscribe to his podcast.

The problem is you can’t spend enough to acquire a customer, and the way to fix that problem is to fix your sales funnel. -Russel Brunson Click To Tweet

Pat Flynn
Smart Passive Income

Pat Flynn has a great podcast and he’s full of ideas and energy.

What I enjoy most about his stuff is that he shares what’s working, what he’s tried, and what isn’t working.

There’s no reason to reinvent the wheel when it comes to building business online. Learn from those who are already getting results (such as Pat) and then modify them for the network marketing industry.

The other great thing about Pat’s strategies is that you can do them in addition to (and at the same time as) your network marketing business.

I encourage you to build and view your website as your primary business.

This is a shift to traditional network marketing thinking, but it’s the way top earners think and it’s the way of the future of this industry.

Affiliate marketing, network marketing, coaching, products, etc. should all be seen as a part of your business, a.k.a. different streams of income for your business.

You own your website, you don’t own your network marketing downline or company.

So don’t put all your eggs in one basket, no matter how big that basket is.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. -Pat Flynn Click To Tweet

Sales and Success Leaders

Anthony Robbins

If you don’t know who Tony Robbins is, you’ve been living under a bridge.

One of the most impactful leaders over the last 40 years, he has advised presidents, CEO’s, and a variety of other people.

But, if you’re like me, you may have some apprehension about what it is he does. I always saw him as a motivation speaker… until I started following him.

He does motivate, but on a deeper level he helps you ask better questions. If you ask better questions… you get better answers… and you find better solutions.

If you follow this site, I will give you a disclaimer. He does tend to use some abrasive language. I think sometimes it’s on purpose just to shake you up, but you should know that going in.

If you haven’t taken a real look at his stuff, I encourage you to do so.

The only thing that’s keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself. -Tony Robbins Click To Tweet

Brian Tracy

Brian Tracy is one of my favorite marketing leaders and sales and success influencers.

He is also the author of two of my favorite books of all time:
Maximum Achievement
No Excuses

His teachings are two the point and I like his writing style.

If you’re serious about personal development and being the best you can be, the two books above are a good place to start.

The Key to Success is Action. -Brian Tracy Click To Tweet Never complain, never explain. Resist the temptation to defend yourself or make excuses. -Brian Tracy Click To Tweet

Grant Cardone

Author of Be Obsessed or Be Average and The 10X Rule, Grant teaches people to expand their vision and go after it… even harder.

In fact, it’s the premise of the 10X Rule. If you haven’t read it, the idea is simple. Think bigger. Take your goals and multiply them by 10, then go after it.

Even if you land in the middle, you did better than your original goal.

Grant has an incredible story. In debt and addicted to drugs before getting obsessed with business, Grant replaced his drug addiction with an addiction to succeed. (1)

Now he has a net worth of 500 million and is climbing to a billion.

But Grant is special. Grant is one of the first Uber successful people to promote network marketing as a real and legitimate option for people.

In his free video series, Network Marketing Moguls, he interviews top earners and network network marketing leaders, extrapolating from them the success principles they’ve learned along the way.

As the network marketing industry goes through the next stage in it’s development, Grant and other leaders like him with platforms of their own will help redefine this industry simply by saying… “that’s actually a great option.”

Success is your duty, obligation, and responsibility. -Grant Cardone Click To Tweet You won't get much done if you only grind on the days you feel good. -Grant Cardone Click To Tweet

Leadership Influencers

Network marketing is as much about leadership as it is about sales.

If you have reached your leadership lid, you’ll only grow an organization to a certain size.

Once you start putting team members in your organization, you must lead them to success or your team won’t last long.

John Maxwell

John Maxwell is the #1 thought leader and influencer in the leadership space.

I’ve been reading his stuff as long as I can remember and he’s written a number of bestseller books on leadership.

The impressive thing to me about his books is that they have so much actionable content in them for a leader. Even though he produces a lot of them, they’re all exceptional books.

To top it off, he’s an excellent communicator on stage as well.

When looking at his book options for the first time, it can be overwhelming as to what to pick. I suggest just picking a title that resonates with you and I’m sure it will be fantastic.

If you’re not sure where to start, but want to grow as a leader- Leadership Gold is a great first book. It’s a compilation of leadership lessons he’s learned over multiple decades.

I would also like to say here that I’ve heard through the grapevine that Maxwell may be working on a book specifically for the network marketing industry.

Just like Grant Cardone, Maxwell can have a huge impact on this industry if he starts saying “look, network marketing is a legitimate option”.

He has an audience that would probably not look at the industry unless somebody like him gives it legitimacy.

At the same time, much of his audience would probably do well in the industry because of their leadership experience.

He who thinks he leads, but has no followers, is only taking a walk. -John Maxwell Click To Tweet Leadership is influence. Just because someone has a title, doesn’t mean that person is a leader. -John Maxwell Click To Tweet

Orrin Woodward

Orrin Woodward is a leadership expert and has written multiple best selling books.

I first became aware of him years ago during my first run in network marketing.

Interestingly, his site bio doesn’t mention anything about his start in network marketing, yet that is where it began.

Orrin is a good example of one of the reasons network marketing stays in the shadows. Often, top earners rise to the top and for different reasons, they take the money and skills they earned in this industry, and move on.

They rarely talk about the industry even though it was the springboard to their success.

Because of this, people see them as real estate tycoons, investors, and successful business owners… without ever knowing that it all started in network marketing.

Anyway, Orrin went through some stuff when he decided to leave the industry that could explain some of his silence (2).

Regardless of how vocal he is about the industry in general though, his books on leadership are fantastic.

Launching a Leadership Revolution is a good place to start.

Doubts in your mind are a much greater roadblock to success than obstacles on the journey. -Orrin Woodward Click To Tweet Success is on the other side of your comfort zone. -Orrin Woodward Click To Tweet

Tony Dungy

Tony Dungy is one of my hero’s, but not for the reason you may think.

If you follow my stuff, you probably know I am not the sports guy. I like sports, but I’m just not that into it.

Tony was a professional football player but became well known for his job as a head coach.

He has a laundry list of other accomplishments (3) but what I admire the most about him is his commitment to his faith.

Uncommon is my favorite book of his.

Tony has successfully laid a foundation of faith in his life and built his career on top of that, not the other way around.

It is exaclty what we’re trying to do on this site.

Faith first.
Then family.
Then business…. in that order.

Speaking to five thousand people is no more important than quietly teaching one. -Tony Dungee Click To Tweet I have yet to hear God's audible voice, although I have often felt led by God in more subtle ways. -Tony Dungy Click To Tweet

Andy Stanley
Your Move

Andy Stanley, like John Maxwell, got his start as a pastor.

In fact, Andy is still a senior pastor at North Point Community Church. It just so happens that he is also an incredible communicator and great leader.

His sermons are fantastic.

But he also produces content around general success and life. All of his content is available through podcast downloads but you can also go via the links above.

I will say this, if you are not a church going person, don’t let the word “sermon” fool you. It’s more of a talk and yes it will have a faith based slant, but it will also have a ridiculous amount of value you can use as a leader and business person.

In fact, their church mission is to provide an environment that un-churched people love to attend.

He’ll even say in his talks, “look, if you’re a christian this applies to you, if you’re not, you can disregard it”. He knows his audience and adjusts his communication accordingly.

Definitely check him out.

Direction, not intention determines your destination. -Andy Stanley Click To Tweet Don’t strive to be a well-rounded leader. Instead, discover your zone and stay there. Then delegate everything else. -Andy Stanley Click To Tweet The less you do, the more you will accomplish. -Andy Stanley Click To Tweet

There’s a reason the same people sit at the final table at the world series of poker every year. Either they’re the luckiest guys and gals in the entire world or… it’s not a game of luck at all.

Same thing goes for network marketing.

If people can consistently produce results over and over again, then it must not be a lottery (imagine that)… it must be based on skills and leadership ability.

The good news? Skills and leadership can be learned and developed!

Learn from the best!
Implement what you learn and your business will thrive.

Most importantly, if you’d like a personal relationship with Jesus Christ you can do it by praying the simple prayer below, right now wherever you are.

“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I believe you came to the earth, fully God and fully man, to die for my sins and be raised again. Please forgive me of all my wrongs. I turn away from my sin, please come into my heart, be my Savior and Lord. Please make me a new creation”.

If you said that simple prayer, you have been born again and have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you.

We’d love to hear about it and help you get plugged into a local church.
