59 Bible Verses on God’s Plan for Your Life

God’s plan and will for our lives can sometimes be a little cryptic. Believe it or not, God has a specific purpose for you. You were created with a purpose and for a purpose.

These bible verses on God’s plan will help you discern the voice of God, navigate your life choices, give you direction, and stay encouraged.

Whether you’re making a difficult decision or just wanting to know God’s will for you in general, spending time in prayer and focusing on solid biblical principles will help you stay on track.

One thing we know for sure is that if something’s directly contradictory to the teachings of the bible, then it’s not God’s plan for your life.

Keep that in mind as you make any and all life decisions.

Seek God’s Will Through Fasting

Sometimes, when facing a really difficult decision or when you’re at then end of your emotionally and spiritual rope, you may want to consider prayer and fasting to discern the will of God.

Fasting has a way of silencing the noise of this world and allowing your spirit to focus on God’s still small voice.

Nehemiah 1:4 When I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

Sometimes God’s Plan is for You to Wait
(For God’s Perfect Timing)

Wait or take action? It’s hard to say. At times in our life, it’s important to wait on God. You can’t change God’s timetable and his timing is perfect.

I have a hard time waiting and some people wait too long. I try to wait until I think I know the direction he wants me to go, then I pray that he will open the doors I am to walk through and close the doors that he wants closed.

This has been a powerful prayer for me because regardless of human will, no matter what we do, if God closes a door it will remain closed.

What are your strengths? What are your passions?

We are the hands and feet of God.

Romans 12:4-5 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
